Central New York Legend Joe Whiting to Rock Harborfest

Oswego, NY – Jumping Joe Whiting has been entertaining audiences in Central New York and throughout the country for almost 30 years.

From his early days in the band Jukin’ Bone to the present, Whiting’s style of rhythm ‘n’ groove has struck a chord with music fans and his exciting live performances have made him a true legend in the Central New York music scene.

On July 25, Whiting will rock Harborfest with a special performance scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on the NRG Lakeview Stage in Breitbeck Park.

Over the years, Whiting has performed with many of the biggest names in rock and roll.

His 1990 album ‘Jumpin’ Joe Whiting, Rhythm ‘n’ Groove was nominated for a Grammy award for best contemporary blues album and in 1997 he received a Syracuse Area Music Award (SAMMY) for Best Songwriter.

A member of the Syracuse Area Music Hall of Fame, Whiting continues to perform with the Joe Whiting Band and does select dates with his longtime partner, Mark Doyle.
