CENTRAL SQUARE -The Central Square Middle School Art Department recently recognized several very special student artists by putting their art on public display at the Northern Onondaga Public Library in Brewerton.

The event kicked off in November with an art show opening celebration, including snacks and refreshments, and ran through December 2.
More than 100 pieces of art were chosen for display throughout all sections of sixth through eighth grade at CSMS
The show was well received by the community.

Art teacher Philip Williamson was very happy with the continued support of the show.
“Many of these students will go on to major in art and this gives them a great opportunity to see how others perceive their art and encourage their talent,” he said.

Art teachers Heather Ladd and Christy Sager were also on hand to show their support and buzzed around the library to greet students and meet their families.
The staff at CSMS has been collaborating with NOPL since it first opened in 1999 and they will continue to work together to support the talents of local youth.
