OSWEGO, NY – Frederick Leighton Elementary School sixth graders made the step to the middle school at the annual recognition ceremony.
Retiring Principal Julie Burger not only presented certificates to the students, but distributed awards to several seventh graders to be.

The State of New York Attorney General Triple “C” Awards were presented to Sophia DeLorenzo and Abigail McPherson.
Airyona Croci received the New York State Comptroller’s Award.
Scotty Schladebeck and Sophia DeLorenzo received the President’s Education Awards Outstanding Academic Excellence “Gold” Award.
Earning “Silver” were Liam Brown, Maxwell Fischer, Abigail McPherson, Aubrey Avery and Patrick Kraft.

Students advancing to seventh graders from Laurel Artz’ class included Ryan Bailey, Liam Brown, Mackenzie Chappell, Zachary Coe, Airyona Croci, Adam Delvalle-Guzman, Harrison Endres, Maxwell Fischer, Gabrielle Flores, Emmalee French, Jenna Garcia, Adam Gulliver, Hunter Lawton, Kathleen McGreevy, Abigail McPherson, Paige Mulcahey, Dylon Richards, Emily Smith, Heather Susino, Jeremy Susino, Evan Tesoriero and Megan Vivlemore.
Departing sixth graders in Carolyn Dehm’s class included Alex Alfano, Jada Auclair, Aubrey Avery, Joshua Casper, Daniel Davies, Sophia DeLorenzo, Hailey Guynup, Khia Jock, Hannah Johnson, Kaylee King, Patrick Kraft, Anthony Leone, Vicenzo Livich, Zoe Ruiz-Torres, Scotty Schladebeck, Elijah Shambo, Sheyenne Shattuck, Chelsea Susino and Kelly Swatkowski.
