OSWEGO, NY – Who is the best pumpkin pie baker in Oswego County?
Based on the results of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Pumpkin Pie Contest, it’s Wesley Dahar.
Part of the CNY Great Pumpkin Festival, the Chamber’s Pumpkin Pie Contest received entries from throughout Oswego County.

Following a lengthy evaluation that included texture, aroma, presentation and of course taste the judges, which included Rev. Richard Klafehn, pastor of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection and Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oswego; Oswego County Opportunities’ Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier; Superintendent of Fort Ontario State Historic Site Paul Lear; and Victoria Usherwood of I Heart Oswego chose Dahar’s entry as the Best Pumpkin Pie.
Brian Fowler and Joseph Harrington finished second and third, respectively.
