Champion Weightlifter Honored By Legislature

The Oswego County Legislature recognized champion weightlifter Juan R. Collazo with a certificate at their December meeting. The 61-year-old Fulton resident is coached by Dave Eddy, also of Fulton, and currently holds five state records, five national records and two world records. A former heavy equipment operator for the county, Collazo was recognized in 2008 and 2009 by the World Natural Powerlifting Federation as the top weightlifter in his age group and among the top ten lifters in his 165-pound weight class.
