Change Your Batteries

OSWGO, NY – In anticipation of this weekend’s “Spring Ahead,” the moving ahead of our clocks to Daylight Saving Time, the Oswego Fire Department would like to remind all residents to also change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

And, of course, check to make sure they are in proper operating condition.

“This simple task has proven to be successful and a real lifesaver time after time and it is my hope that this practice will continue. Also keep in mind those neighbors and relatives that may not be aware of this or have the means to do this. Why not assist them and be sure that their detectors properly operate if needed?” said Fire Chief Jeff McCrobie.
