In addition, the Rev & Rock Festival will host a contest for the best “Parrothead” costume from during Changes in Latitude’s performance. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.

“The Changes in Latitude’s performance will also kick off a dramatic stage layout as well for their concert and the others during the day,” Handley said. “We will be turning the front part of the audience setting into a beach theme complete with sand. The atmosphere should be a lot of fun and enjoyable for the crowd.”

According to Handley the lead singer, guitarist, and Changes in Latitude’s creator, Steve Kareta has followed Jimmy Buffet all over the United States. He has also spent time touring as a pro audio engineer for artists such as Joe Cocker, Paul Anka, and Peter Wolf. The band also includes Guy Wallis, keyboardist/mandolin/vocals; Brandon Marger, percussionist; Mark Neveu, bass guitarist; Clark Seibold, drums; Lyn Ryan Porter, saxophone/accordion; Amy Sullivan and Jenn Judd, vocalists.

Changes in Latitudes is first in the line-up of Oswego’s Rev & Rock Festival playing at 2 p.m. with such hit tribute songs as “Hey Good Looking,” “Margaritaville,” “Brown-Eyed Girl,” and of course the Alan Jackson/Jimmy Buffet Smash hit, “It’s Five O’clock Somewhere.”

Three other nationally known tribute bands will also be performing at the Rev & Rock Festival including Separate Ways, Draw The Line, and Hotel California. Also on the schedule is Oswego’s own original southern rock band, Frostbit Blue.

According to Handley, Rev & Rock guarantees its audience a diverse collection of music and entertainment throughout the day. All four tribute bands will provide a unique complement to some of the music industry’s greatest performers of the past 50 years.
