From the Parent Education Program and the Kinship Program to Emergency Services and the CYO Program, Catholic Charities served more than 20,000 individuals last year, offering them a helping hand when they had nowhere else to turn.

Catholic Charities’ programs work to create strong, healthy families and helps to improve the quality of life in the communities that it serves.

According to executive director Mary-Margaret Pezzella-Pekow, the agency’s fundraising efforts are more important than ever.

“The increased demand that we are experiencing for virtually all of our programs coupled with dwindling donations and budget cuts is making it difficult to serve those who rely on our programs. We are depending on the success of our fundraisers to help offset these losses and allow us to continue our mission of helping those in need,” she said.

Catholic Charities’ barbecue and car wash will be held June 11 beginning at 11 a.m.

Chicken dinners will available for $8 from 11 a.m. until sold out.

Participants from Catholic Charities’ CYO Mentoring and Kinship Programs will also be holding a car wash until 3 p.m., donations will be greatly appreciated.
