Child Protection Committee Plans Community Forums April 28, May 3

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego County Child Protection Advisory Council will sponsor two more community forums to discuss issues of child abuse and neglect.

Council members are looking for the public input on how people can take action to strengthen families and communities, and reduce incidents of child abuse and maltreatment.

The council has adopted the theme “Our County, Our Children, Our Future, Our Responsibility.”

The meetings will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 28, at the Fulton Municipal Building, 141 S. First St., Fulton; and May 3, at the Millard Hawk Primary School cafeteria, Central Square.

Melanie Trexler, director of the Oswego County United Way, will host the Fulton area meeting and Jeff Grimshaw, director of the SUNY Oswego Business Council, will facilitate.

Mike Eiffe, Cleveland Elementary School principal, and Gerry Hudson, superintendent of the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District, will host the Central Square – APW area meeting. Kathy Fenlon, director of the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau, will facilitate.
