The budding authors were guided by CiTi’s library media specialist Tammy Cummings as they participated in a project-based learning unit on writing.

The students wrote and illustrated original short stories that were submitted to a panel of judges who graded each story using a scoring rubric.

In addition to receiving certificates of participation, each student also received several “goodies” from the contest sponsor.

The students’ stories have been compiled into a bound book that can be enjoyed by everyone in the school library.
