MEXICO – Students and audiology staff from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation recently visited Kinney Drugs in Mexico to learn about new technology that creates equal access for all customers.

The team from CiTi met with Kinney staff, who provided a demonstration on the hearing loop.
The system enables people with hearing aids or cochlear implants to receive a wireless signal that sends sound through the hearing device directly to the listener’s ears.
This innovative technology reduces outside noise and increases sound clarity for the customer.
“Kinney’s new program is a model for pharmacies across the state,” said Tammy Seymour, CiTi teacher of the deaf. “This advance in technology is a great way businesses are creating equal access for customers.”
