Take an hour of your Saturdays to work around our communities yard. Saturdays in the Park is your opportunity to work along side your community Tree Stewards in mulching, pruning and beautifying our parks!

This week will be the City of Oswego’s Arbor Day Celebration Week
After proclamation of April 29th as Arbor Day by Mayor Randy Bateman, The City of Oswego will be celebrating throughout the week of May 2nd-6th. Each City School and the Head Start Program at Fort Ontario will host a tree planting as well as educational material distributed for the children at each school. Community members are welcome to volunteer their time at each school planting along side city officials and the Tree Stewards group.
We encourage the community to plant a tree or to request that a tree be planted on their street by contacting their Alderman.

Head Start at Fort Ontario 10:15am
Oswego High School 3:15pm-4:15 pm
May 3 Tuesday –
Kingsford Park Elementary at 10:30 am
Frederick Leighton Elementary at 2:15pm-3: 15pm
May 4 Wednesday –
Oswego Middle School 3:15pm-4: 15pm
May 5 Thursday –
Trinity Catholic School 2pm
May 6 Friday –
Riley Elementary 2pm
