PHOENIX, NY – Clients of the Looking Glass Salon in Phoenix donated over 400 pounds of pet food and supplies in a holiday drive.

The Looking Glass Salon partnered with the Oswego County SPCA after learning from a client of increased need since the pandemic halted fundraising events.

“Our little fur friends are in need of some help, and Looking Glass Salon customers came to the rescue with dog and cat food, kitty litter and pee pad donations,” said Danielle Osborne, co-owner of the Looking Glass Salon.

According to Tanya Semchenko, President of Oswego County SPCA – OCAWL, “We truly appreciate any and all donations of pet food and supplies. They are essential in continuing the work to rescue and rehome neglected and abused animals in our county. The support of Brianna, Danielle and the team at the Looking Glass Salon is very much appreciated especially in these difficult times.”

Co-owners Osborne and Brianna Horton have plans to expand the salon at 86 State Street, Phoenix after the neighboring dojo relocated January 1. The sisterly love of animals is a family trait.

“Our Mom would always sneak pets home without Dad knowing and he would always say we couldn’t keep them. Then quickly would be so in love with the new animal,” said Horton of their family’s love of animals.
