OSWEGO COUNTY – The Cogswell Free Library in Orwell has joined the list of participants offering Screen-Free Week activities for youth during spring break. Screen-Free Week runs from Saturday, April 12 to Sunday, April 20, and encourages children to disconnect from electronic devices and re-connect with others.
Visit the Cogswell Free Library on Thursday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to enjoy free “bunny crafts” with the kids. They can make Easter-themed crafts at the library or pick up to-go craft kits to make at home. For more information, call 315-298-5563. The library is located at 1999 Co. Rte. 2, Orwell.
Other participants in Screen-Free Week include:
- Ainsworth Memorial Library, Sandy Creek: Hosts activities on Saturday, April 12; Monday, April 14; and Friday, April 18. For more information, call 315-387-3732.
- Half-Shire Historical Society, Richland: Hosts a magic show, light lunch, face painting, and ice cream sundaes on Tuesday, April 15. For details, call 315-602-6388.
- Selkirk Shores State Park, Pulaski: Offers storybook trail, popcorn and outdoor activity sheet throughout the week. Join a guided scavenger hunt bingo on Saturday, April 12. For more information, call 315-298-5737.
- Williamstown Public Library: Hosts an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 20 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. For more information, call 315-964-2802.
- Salmon River Fine Arts Center, Pulaski: Hosts a book swap, create your own bookmark and a craft Thursday through Saturday, April 17-19. For details, call 315-298-7007.
