Color Our World: Summer Reading for All Ages at the Oswego Public Library

A group of early readers from our weekly Storytime.

OSWEGO – The Oswego Public Library invites lifelong learners of all ages to embrace the chaos of creativity and celebrate how art enriches our lives! This year’s theme is “Color Our World,” and our library has planned an imaginative summer for you! Signups begin on June 30.

Everything counts towards your reading log, whether you’re rereading books, exploring new ones, enjoying graphic novels, magazines, audiobooks, and more. You can listen to books on CD or use the Libby app on your phone for audiobooks!

Here’s how it works: for every book you read, you’ll receive a raffle entry for a chance to win fantastic prizes! The more you read, the more chances you have to win. In addition to the raffle, we have a lineup of engaging events and activities planned throughout the summer, including:
• Kids activities – Messy Mondays, Lakeview Laboratory STEAM activities every Thursday, Storytime in the Park, Life-Sized Candyland, Whale Day, and more!
• Teen activities – for ages 13 to 19, try out viral TikTok Crafts on Wednesday evenings!
• All ages activities – Tiny Art Show, with a reception on August 8, Color Your Garden, Community Art Jam, Crocheting activities, Recycled Book Art, Alcohol Ink Suncatchers, and more!
For a full list of events, check out our website calendar, download our program guide online, or stop by the library’s front desk for a program guide. https://oswegopubliclibrary.org/events/

There’s no shortage of literary excitement to keep you entertained all summer long. Grab your favorite book, find a cozy spot, and lose yourself in the magic of reading. We can’t wait to share the summer with you!
