Compass FCU Member Day Proceeds Benefit Oswego City Animal Shelter

OSWEGO – As part of Compass Federal Credit Union’s Member Day held on Monday, October 5, Compass FCU members were tasked to select a local organization to donate all event proceeds.  After tallying all votes, the Oswego City Animal Shelter was selected to receive a donation of $1,800.

Proceeds from the credit union’s Member Day totaled $900, with Compass FCU then matching that amount for the $1,800 total.

Donations to the shelter are used to feed, house and care for animals within the shelter including food and treats, bedding, cleaning and maintenance, as well as medical and care supplies.

The Oswego City Animal Shelter is a municipal animal shelter and animal control facility managed by the city of Oswego.  The shelter serves the city of Oswego and contracted Oswego County townships, housing stray, abandoned or surrendered animals; primarily cats and dogs.
