Compass Federal Credit Union Announces Board Nominees; 60th Annual Meeting Set for May 6th

OSWEGO – Compass Federal Credit Union’s 60th Annual Meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 6th at Compass Federal Credit Union’s Fulton branch, located at 208 North Second St., beginning at 6 p.m.
This year’s Annual Meeting will once again include an update on the state of the credit union from the Compass Board and management and is open to all Compass membership to attend.

During this meeting, the credit union’s three Board vacancies will officially be filled.

Three credit union members applied for the three vacant seats on the Board meaning that there will be no membership vote required.  Compass FCU Board Secretary, Angela Galvin, will file the only required vote for each nominee.  No nominations from the floor will be accepted at the upcoming Annual Meeting.

Nominees for the Board include incumbents Michael Pisa and Sarah Hoefer, as well as first time nominee, Robin Lagoe.

Michael Pisa is completing his eighth year as President of the Compass Board of Directors, after previously serving as Vice President.  Pisa served on the Board of Directors at Oswego Heritage FCU for seven years prior to the merger between Compass and Heritage in August of 2016.  Now enjoying retirement, Pisa was employed for several years at SUNY Oswego, most recently as the Associate Director of Infrastructure and Security.

Ready to begin her second term on the Compass Board, Sarah Hoefer is a NYS Licensed Associate Broker for Century 21 Galloway Realty.  With years of experience as a seasoned realtor and established small business owner, Sarah is a trusted professional with deep roots in her community.  Hoefer’s skills in organization, negotiating, customer services, sales and planning have been valuable assets during her time on the Board.

First time nominee, Robin Lagoe, is the newest member of the Compass Federal Credit Union Board of Directors.  Lagoe is employed by Vanguard Research & Title Services and is a title examiner for both residential and commercial properties.  Also, a notary public, Robin spent more than ten years assisting in regulatory matters in relation to the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.
