Compass Federal Credit Union Charity Golf Tournament Raises $10,000 for Youth Athletics

OSWEGO – The 2026 Compass Federal Credit Union Charity Golf Tournament, presented by Novelis, saw 21 teams participate at Battle Island Golf Course on June 6, with $10,000 raised to be divided between Fulton Youth Hockey and Fulton Girls Lacrosse.

While this year’s tournament marked the credit union’s 14^th annual event, the tournament has seen increased proceeds in recent years.  Since 2024, Compass has now raised more than $36,000 for youth athletics in Oswego County.

This year’s proceeds will benefit Fulton Girls Lacrosse by way of more than 120 new jerseys, practice and game equipment, as well as entry into a Modified level indoor lacrosse tournament for the first time in over a decade at the CNY Family Sports Center.

Fulton Youth Hockey plans to use funds to help upkeep and maintain the program’s ice arena, along with the purchase of nets, cones and pucks as needed.

After 18 holes it was Team ABC Oswego, consisting of Andy Bucher, Pete Wiltsie, Brady Slimmer and Dan Enwright topping the leaderboard.  Finishing in the second position was the team supplied by Oscar Roofing consisting of Tom Murray, Buddy Stone, Dan Hoefer and Geno Knopp.

The day’s contest winners included Dan Crowe (Closest to the Pin, Men), Fran Sanford (Closest to the Pin, Women), Eric Morris (Longest Drive, Men), Ashley Rosenbarner (Longest Drive, Women) and Slimmer (Closest to the Line).

Planning is already underway for the 2027 edition of the Compass Federal Credit Union Charity Golf Tournament, with the 15^th annual event scheduled for Saturday, June 5.  Beneficiary applications for the 2027 tournament will also be available for download at www.compassfcu.comfollowing the first of the year.
