MINETTO, NY – On Aug. 6 at 7 p.m., the Oswego County New Horizons Band & Chorus will be performing at the Minetto Methodist Church.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Come and enjoy an evening concert of old time favorite songs and the sounds and tunes from popular musicals and big band.
The 34 instrumentalists and 27 vocalists in the two groups are seniors 50 years of age or older.
Most members who had been musicians in their youth, had put musical pursuits aside while raising their families and/or while employed.
Other members who were previously non-musicians decided to take up an instrument or sing (several did both) during their senior years.
Light refreshment to follow.
