Constellation Energy Nuclear Group (CENG) announced the recipients of this year’s scholarships. The program awards two undergraduate level scholarships (maximum value of $6,000) each year and one graduate Fellowship (maximum value of $3,000) biennially to children of employees of Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station.

Oswego High School students Lindsay Johnson and Mason Rabalais were awarded the undergraduate scholarship based on their scholastic achievement, aptitude and personal qualities such as character and leadership ability. Cori DeSanto was awarded the Fellowship scholarship for her continued graduate education.

A scholarship review committee from SUNY Oswego selected the recipients and had a challenging task because of the quality of the 19 scholarship and three Fellowship applicants.

Scholarship recipient Lindsay Johnson is the daughter of employee Joanne Johnson. Lindsay is a high school senior ranked first in her class of approximately 400 students. She will graduate from Oswego High School with a grade point average of 97.6.

Mason Rabalais is the son of employee Greg Rabalais. Mason is a senior at Oswego High School; he holds a 95.5 grade point average.

Fellowship recipient Cori DeSanto is the daughter of employee Tony DeSanto. Cori will be graduating from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia with an expected degree in Neuroscience and an overall GPA of 4.0. Cori aspires to become a pediatrician and will be attending medical school in the fall.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to support the continued academic pursuits of these students,” said Sam Belcher, Vice President Constellation Energy Nuclear Group – Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station. “We wish all of our scholarship recipients success in their future.”
