OSWEGO – The Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee presented a proclamation designating June as Dairy Month to Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County last month.

Almost 500,000 people work among various and diverse agricultural specialties in New York State and, among these, dairy farming ranks first in income.

Oswego County is a significant contributor with more than 94,000 acres of agriculture land and a market value of land, buildings, equipment and cattle worth nearly $200 million.
