Dinner and a Book Review Fundraiser

Friends of the Library will hold a fundraiser Tuesday, October 18th at Canale’s Restaurants in Oswego and Liverpool. Canale’s has generously offered to donate 20% of sales, from customer’s with a coupon, including dine in, takeout, delivery or frozen food orders, to the Friends of the Library during that evening.

“Canale’s is a real ‘friend’ through their support of the Library through this fundraiser” said Karen Ferguson, President of Friends of the Library. “We thank them for their generous support of Friends of the Library, and the Oswego Public Library.”

Canale’s is located at 156 West Utica Street in Oswego. A local institution, they’ve served the finest in Italian Cuisine since 1954.

The Friends of the Library encourage patrons to visit Canale’s for dinner before, or after, the partner event that evening: a book review of American Venus: The extraordinary life of Audrey Munson, Model and Muse written by Diana Rozas and Anita Gottehrer Bourne and led by James and Brenda Hotchkiss, that starts in the Library Community Room at 6:30 PM. Food is allowed in the community room, so take out from Canale’s for during the event is a possibility too!

Friends of the Library is an organization of patrons committed to expanding and enriching the programs of the Oswego Public Library. Activities of the Friends organization include providing financial and volunteer support to library programs and services accomplished through generous donations during the annual membership drive and small community fundraisers.
