Double Bill Kicks Off 2017 at CNY Arts Center

FULTON – CNY Arts Center is looking for 12 “angry” men and a room full of would-be artists to sip and paint their way through a fundraiser to kick off the New Year, all in the first week.

Auditions will be held for Twelve Angry Men, the classic drama by Reginald Rose, January 3 and 4 from 6-9 p.m. at the Arts Center located at 11 River Glen Drive on the Cayuga College Fulton Campus.

The play will be presented March 24 – April 2 and celebrates the directing debut of Jessie Dobrzynski, a frequent performer and choreographer at CNY Arts Center.

January 6 signals the launch of a series of Sip and Paint classes in 2017 to be held at various times and locations.

Led by instructor artist Bonnie McClellan, participants can enjoy food and beverages while creating a 16×20 acrylic painting in a relaxed, fun environment.

Each student will start with a blank canvas and go home with a completed painting.

The event will be held at McClellan’s studio located at 113 Schuyler St., across from Price Chopper in Fulton.

All materials will be provided and a portion of the proceeds will benefit CNY Arts Center programming for 2017.

A second Sip & Paint fundraiser is planned for February 21 at Lakeview Lanes at 723 W. Broadway (Route 3) in Fulton.

Both class sizes are limited. Preregistration is required.
