FULTON, NY – Dr. Carla Overton has joined Trust Pediatrics, 63 S. First St., and she starts Sept. 15, it was announced by Dr. Stuart Trust.
“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Overton,” Trust said. “She is well trained in all aspects of providing care to children and adolescents. We now have three pediatricians and a nurse practitioner to better serve the pediatric needs of northern Onondaga and Oswego County; and we always welcome new patients.”
Dr. Overton, a Watertown native, earned a BS in Science-Human Biology, Health and Society from Cornell University in 2005.
She pursued graduate work in Education at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2011.
She completed her Residency in Pediatrics there in July.
Following her graduation from Cornell and prior to starting medical school, Dr. Overton taught fifth grade for two years in the city of Baltimore as part of the Teach For America Corps Program.

Dr. Overton and her husband, Michael Walsh, reside in Camillus with their 20-month-old daughter, Tessa.
Dr. Trust has been a physician for more than 40 years and Trust Pediatrics has served thousands of families for more than 30 years. The office has just completed a major renovation and expansion to accommodate more patients and their growing staff, Trust said.
Dr. Trust received SUNY Upstate Medical University’s Pediatrician of the Year award in 2013, and he is the only physician who has received this award five times since it was established in 1973. The practice accepts most insurance plans and can be reached at 315-598-6785.
