OSWEGO, NY – On October 29, Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training and SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations will gather women from across New York State for Connections, a day-long conference to be held at River Vista Center in Fulton from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This day-long symposium is something you won’t want to miss.

The theme for this year’s event is “Connect – Pursue – Advance” and will feature several dynamic speakers, networking opportunities, continental breakfast, lunch, a dessert reception, and a women’s marketplace.
In order to effect change in our organizations, our communities and our world, the most important connection to make is with the self.
Most of us spend a lot of time developing skills in our fields and connecting with others, but few of us have been encouraged to know ourselves: our core personality strengths, our core values, our own needs, our unique purpose and mission.
Dr. Christine Allen, of Insight Business Works, is a licensed psychologist and Board Certified Coach.
She will present, “Connection to Self: Leading from the Inside Out.” In this presentation, strategies for identifying areas of self-awareness and self-development will be addressed and habits for developing and using this self-knowledge will be discussed.
Again this year, headshots will be offered by Dayger Photography, with no sitting fee.
Hair and make-up touch-ups will also be available.
New this year, we are featuring Bee-Hive Networking.
There are no elevator speeches, no selling, and no fears or discomforts.
Each attendee could walk away with an average of 12-20 cards of qualified prospects who want to meet them.
Come “catch the buzz” at the Bee-Hive Networking Game.
Please be sure to come armed with 100 business cards.
Major sponsors to date include NBT Bank, SUNY Oswego Phoenix Center and Operation Oswego County.
Early-bird tickets are $55, now through September 30, and are available through the Tyler Hall Box Office, tickets.oswego.edu
