Eastern Shore Associates Insurance Acquires Cronk Agency, Inc.

Eastern Shore Associates Insurance (ESA) has acquired the Property and Casualty book of business from the Cronk Agency, Inc., 647 S. Main St., Central Square, it was announced by Martha Murray, president. Cronk owners Jacquelyn and Frank Upwood are retiring Aug. 1, at which time ESA will maintain and service the needs of Cronk customers.

“First and foremost we extend our thanks to Jackie and Frank Upwood for the dedicated 33 years of service they have given to their customers and community,” Murray said. “We also want to congratulate them on their retirement from the insurance industry, wish them well in the next phase of their lives, and hope that it will be rewarding and fun!”

Jacquelyn’s parents, Jack and Naomi, started the Cronk Agency, Inc. back in 1960, Murray said, “ ESA’s roots date back to 1846, so like the Cronk Agency, we are a part of the history of our communities and we are committed to serving them.

“In addition, we are a Trusted Choice Agency® and an ESOP (employee stock owned) company, which means that all our employees take great pride in the quality of the service that they provide to our customers. We look forward to meeting all Cronk customers and to continuing the relationship that was established by Jack, Naomi, Jackie and Frank.”
