FULTON – Jamieson Persse, commercial producer for Eastern Shore Associates Insurance, received the Kenneth Boutwell Service Award at Thursday’s (March 5) 99th annual meeting of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
The Boutwell award is given to an individual who has shown unselfish, long-term commitment to the chamber.
“Jamie exemplifies ESA’s commitment to sharing our time and talents in the communities we serve,” said Martha Murray, ESA president. “All of us at ESA congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition for his devotion to the chamber, and to the Oswego County community.”
Persse, a licensed Insurance broker, joined the chamber board of directors in 2008 and was elected to a two-year term as board president in 2014.
He is also a past vice president of the Eastwood Chamber of Commerce.
He has been with ESA since 2006 and resides in Hastings with his wife, Karen, and daughter, Amanda.
Other current community involvement by Persse includes membership in the town of Hastings Republican Party and Oswego County Republican committee.
He has been a member of the Oswego County Workforce Development Board since November 2014 where he serves on the Business Development Committee.
Past community activities include: board member and finance committee chair of the Mexico Tiger Sharks Swim Club from 2008 to 2012; Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County board member from 2008 to 2011 with one term as board president; director at large for the New York State Snowmobile Association; and past president, Christian Business Network.
