FULTON – Bridgette Seguin, commercial lines claims manager for Eastern Shore Associates Insurance was named Tutor of the Year for English Language Literacy, at the recent annual meeting and awards ceremony for Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County.
Seguin’s student, Ricardo Canales-Robledo, was named Student of the Year for English Language Literacy.
“Volunteering in our communities is part of ESA’s employee culture and our employees contributed 5,000 volunteer hours in 2015,” said Martha Murray, president. “We are extremely proud of Bridgette’s accomplishment and for her many years of service to literacy in Oswego County.”
Seguin has been with ESA for 25 years and she has been a LVOC tutor for more than six years.
She is also a member of the Literacy Coalition of Oswego County and serves as president of the Fulton Noon Rotary Club.
“My work with LVOC goes hand-in-hand with our mission for Rotary,” Seguin said. “Rotary supports literacy in Fulton, as well as Rotary International’s Books for the World program. In addition, the Fulton Noon Rotary Club gives dictionaries to every third grade student in the Fulton School District every year. I am grateful that Eastern Shore supports me in this community involvement.”
