VOLNEY – Volney Elementary School students who put forth effort throughout the month of May were recently honored during a special school-wide celebration.

Principal’s awards were given to students who have proven to be classroom role models who have exhibited hard work and dedication in their academics, behavioral and social areas throughout the past month.
While many Volney students put forth effort each day, the following students having that character education trait stood out in May:
Lucy Nelson, Alyssa Jones, Charlotte Britton, Molly Smith, Hunter Bubis, Dylan Bigelow, Gianna Thurlow, Cassidy Calaman, Zoey Fink, Chase Clark, Aden Lavallee, Claire Murray, Owen Gilbert, Shyanna Burnswick, Tyler Ingersoll, Elijah Hamilton, Tyler Ditton, Sawyer Clark and Rylee Bartlett.

Principal Todd Terpening congratulated the award winners and also recognized one student from each classroom who had been identified by his or her teacher as on a roll with working toward or achieving a goal.
Those honorees are: Logan Fenton, Abram Salisbury, Nathan French, Connor McEwen, Ayden Richards, Jared Jones Jr., Michael Herald, Drew Fischel, Bryana Stanard, Kailyn Jones, Carter White, Tyler Rowe, Natalie Gulliver, Kaleb Wise, Nasir Noel, Marissa Lawrence, Joe Curcie-Miller and Jillian Calaman.
