Emma Warren Receives Merit Scholarship to Attend SUNY Oneonta

ONEONTA, NY – Emma Warren of Fulton has been selected to receive the Presidential Award for Diversity and Leadership to attend SUNY Oneonta. The college’s award of $6,470 annually will help Warren to pursue a bachelor’s degree beginning in the fall 2017 semester.

Warren, a graduate of G Ray Bodley High School, plans to major in Psychology.

Since 2000, the college and its related College at Oneonta Foundation have more than tripled the number of scholarships available to SUNY Oneonta students, and more than $4 million is awarded each year.

Increasing the impact the scholarships have in the lives of students was a priority of Possibilities Full of Promise, the 125th Anniversary Campaign for SUNY Oneonta, which concluded June 30, 2015, raising approximately $1 million more than its goal and helping to push the college’s endowment over $50 million.

Located in the hills of Central New York, SUNY Oneonta is a mid-size, public, liberal arts and sciences college with a pre-professional focus.

The college enrolls approximately 6,000 students in a wide variety of bachelor’s degree programs and a number of graduate certificates and degrees.
