FULTON – Fulton will host a second Community Market Saturday, August 22 in response to the strong community support for the June 13 Community Market event. Community Market takes place adjacent to the Farmer’s Market happening in the Canalview Mall parking lot and stretches to include 1st St. and the downtown gazebo. The combined event features local farms, food vendors, bakers, inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, crafters and community organizations. AmeriCU Credit Union is a prime sponsor of Community Market, which runs from 8 a.m. – noon and is free to attend.

The Community Market is managed by the non-profit, all-volunteer Special Events Committee of Fulton.

“We received such a strong response to June’s Community Market that our committee decided to put together a second one. It not only highlights our local farmers and food producers but gives families one more fun thing to do on a Saturday in Fulton,” said Special Events Committee spokesperson Dave Bullard.

“We’re incredibly proud to collaborate with the Fulton Special Events Committee to continue creating opportunities that bring people together in Downtown Fulton,” said Taylor Davis, Member Engagement and Operations Manager for the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. “The Fulton Downtown Markets are about more than shopping local—they’re about creating a welcoming space for families, supporting our small businesses and vendors, and giving our community something fun and accessible to enjoy together. By working collaboratively, we’re able to offer free, family-friendly events that bring new energy downtown and continue building on the momentum happening in Fulton.”

Food vendors include Mr. Mike’s Seafood, Mara’s Minis donut truck and beverages from The Angry Barista and Nova’s Pit Stop Sips. Musician Bryan Syrell will perform at the gazebo.

The Special Events Committee of Fulton also produces the annual Fall Festival, Christmas Tree Lighting festival and Big Truck Day. The Special Events Committee is not affiliated with any governmental organization.
