OSWEGO, NY – Thanks to the generous support of Entergy Nuclear, antique buffs and enthusiasts can once again look forward to one of the largest and most anticipated antique shows in our area, the Heritage Foundation Antique Show and Sale.
Christine Rottenberk of Entergy Nuclear presents president of the Heritage Foundation of Oswego, Justin White (left) and Antique Show Committee Member, Bernie Henderson with a check in support of the 2008 Antique Show and Sale.
Chris Rottenberk, manager of information technology with Entergy, said that the employees at the Fitzpatrick plant are proud of the involvement Entergy has with the community and are pleased to again support the Heritage Foundation’s Antique Show.

“The Heritage Foundation’s mission is to enhance, protect and preserve historically significant architecture in the Oswego area.  We are proud to be able to partner with such a worthwhile organization again this Harborfest,” said Rottenberk.

Held during Harborfest weekend, the Heritage Foundation of Oswego’s 19th Annual Antique Show and Sale will offer a wide array of antiques and collectibles from new and returning dealers from throughout the Northeast.

The event will be held July 25 and 26 at the Oswego Armory, West First Street.

“We are thrilled to welcome back Entergy Nuclear as the sponsor for our antique show and sale,” said Melanie Trexler, spokesperson for the Heritage Foundation of Oswego. “The show has grown consistently over the years and is one of the most well attended events of its kind in Central New York. The support we receive from Entergy allows us to continue to bring this show to Oswego and make it a little better every year. Their sponsorship of the antique show and sale is greatly appreciated.”

Area residents are encouraged to consider this event as a venue not only to buy antiques and collectibles, but also to sell some of their own items if they wish.

During the show the Heritage Foundation will have a booth featuring consigned or donated antiques and collectibles.

“It will provide interested individuals with a great opportunity to market their items to other collectors and participate in the show,” said Trexler.

The Antique Show and Sale will be open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be appraisals available both days from 1 to 3 p.m.

The show is near Harborfest activities and free parking is available for antique show visitors.

Admission to the show is only $4.

Those interested in more information on donating or consigning items, or reserving a display booth, may contact Laree Pease at 343-5919 or the Heritage Foundation of Oswego at 342-3354.
