Among the featured speakers for the event will be Mandee Widrick, entrepreneur and business owner from Watertown.

Widrick is the founder and president of ChargedUp Media, a marketing company that helps businesses increase their brand awareness online.

In January 2010, she created Horse Family, an online blog-style magazine for equestrians that now has more than 5,000 followers.

Mandee is very passionate about helping entrepreneurs become successful despite the current state of the economy by implementing modern and creative marketing strategies.

She regularly speaks at conferences and colleges around the state, teaching people how to use social media and the internet to their advantage.

“With Mandee’s expertise in online marketing, she will be a tremendous addition to the other great speakers we have coming this year,” said Nancy Bellow, OBCR executive director.

“Connections” is designed to bring women of all ages and backgrounds together to explore their place and power within their professions.

The theme for this year’s event is “Vision, Change and Growth” and will feature several dynamic speakers, networking opportunities, a dessert reception and a “Women’s Marketplace” where vendors promoting products and services for women will be showcased.

Major sponsors are being lined up for this year’s “Connections.”

This year’s major sponsors included OBCR, WNET, Alliance Bank, Women Ties, and Mitchell’s Speedway Press.
