Students at Fairgrieve Elementary School held their game day recently under beautiful skies and perfect weather conditions.
An end-of-the-year tradition, classes competed with one another in fun and camaraderie through a variety of games ranging from sack races to the dizzying baseball bat relay to the “statuesque†plunger and ball race.
The classes rotated through the challenges and at the end of the competition, enjoyed a cool treat courtesy of Tom Heppell and Slice and Go Deli, who provided the popsicle treats for the school.

Spiraling art tiles created by each student in the school make a striking display on the hillside overlooking the playing field at Fairgrieve Elementary School on game day. Students created the clay tiles in Diane Wavle’s art class.
Teacher Scott Earl demonstrated a unique form when he jumped rope, jumped the hurdle and even hula hooped beside his partner, Katie Cianfarano, who negotiated the course with her aide Trish Becker.
