Fairgrieve Principal Jean Ciesla Named Safety Champion

Fairgrieve Elementary School Principal Jean Ciesla was recognized as a Safety Champion of Oswego County by the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board at a celebratory breakfast recently. Ciesla, one of seven area safety champions selected was commended for her promotion of safety to the students in her school. Each year Ciesla holds a Health and Science Fair at the school where students present various aspects of personal and school safety. She also works closely with the Fulton Police Department and the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board to promote and educate her students on pedestrian, bike, and bus safety and incorporates these agencies into the Morning Express programs held at her school.

“These seven serve as Oswego County’s example of dedication to the health and safety of children and adults,” said Billie Crandall Brady, coordinator of the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board as she announced the list of recipients who were selected for going above and beyond their everyday duties and incorporating safety in education or law enforcement.
