Fairley Grades K-2 Learn To Identify Examples Of Character Attributes Through Theatrical Performance

HNANIBAL – A captivating lesson spurred Hannibal grades K-2 to differentiate between kind behaviors and unkind behaviors.

Actors from the REV Theatre Co. put on a 60-minute performance of “Huff and Puff: A Pig Tale” in the school’s gymnasium. The students recognized several iconic fairy tale characters in the play including “The Three Little Pigs,” “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” “Three Billy Goats Gruff,” and “Rapunzel”.

The play conveyed to students the importance of identifying examples of character attributes, such as caring, trustworthiness and responsibility. Throughout the play, students were able to contribute to the story by playing ensemble roles.

According to the K-2 teaching team, the performance allowed students to evaluate traits of the characters in the play by applying principles of character education.
