Preparations for the sixth annual Healthy Family Night are under way as more than 25 local agencies are gearing up for the event.
This year’s Healthy Family Night is set for 5-7 p.m. April 11 at Fairley Elementary School.
Each year, the event provides an opportunity for Hannibal Central School District families to learn about healthy choices and explore dozens of community resources.
Attendees can participate in a variety of fitness activities, check out some of the vendors and enter to win prizes.
According to school psychologist Brittany Meier, this year’s event is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet.
She noted that local businesses and organizations have been very supportive.
“We have prizes from Kim’s Diner, Wonderworks, Fleet Feet, Get Air, Long Horn Steakhouse, CostCo, Stewarts, Travis Floral, the Fulton YMCA, Lakeview Lanes, Wegmans, Sea Breeze and the Syracuse Mets,” Meier said. “Some highlights will be yoga, the CiTi Audiology Ear-V, local counseling centers, Kami’s Kix Dance Studio, Master Prior’s Tae Kwon Do, Camp Hollis, Hannibal Home and School, Operation Safe Child, the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, the Hannibal Fire Department and more.”
