HANNIBAL – Students in first grade at Fairley Elementary School had a lot of enthusiasm on their 100th day of school, completing one hundred exercises as a group in sets of ten.

The students got to choose the exercise they wanted to perform ten reps of as all of the Hannibal first graders lined the hallway, which was decorated with 100 balloons.
Ten jumping jacks turned into 10 pushups, which transitioned into 10 bounces on one leg and so on. Each time a set was complete, the students counted the number of reps to see how many they had completed and how many they left to reach 100.
In addition to the exercise, several students completed creative projects in celebration of 100 days of school.
Some fashioned handmade necklaces with 100 beads, some made posters with 100 stickers and others brought in decorative jars with 100 lollypops or buttons inside.
