Although classes were done for the school year, that didn’t stop a group of Hannibal students from hopping on a bus for a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience.

In conjunction with the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, the unique opportunity gave 35 Fairley Elementary School students a chance to attend a leadership forum at NBT Stadium in Syracuse.
Throughout the day, students were encouraged to take charge in making small, positive changes at school.
They learned leadership skills that will help them in daily life.
Students listened to motivational speaker and Fuel Up to Play 60 ambassador “Coach Champ” and they learned about the FUTP60 program and how they can bring it to Fairley in the fall.
In addition to the wealth of knowledge the students received, they also had an opportunity to have some fun while interacting with a few star football players who got their start in Central New York.
Fairley students met NFL athletes Mike Hart, Tyvon Branch and Latavius Murray during the event.
