Fall Feast of Art at CNY Arts Center

FULTON, NY – CNY Arts Center is serving a feast of fall classes and events for youth and adults alike introducing several new classes in the next two weeks.

From Beginner’s Knit and Crochet to Ballet and Jazz, Writer’s club for kids, Oil painting, jewelry making and a workshop on Different Ways to Draw, the Center is achieving its vision to provide all arts for all ages.

“We couldn’t be more excited to offer such a wide array of classes to suit every interest,” said Nancy Fox, director of the center. “And, with more great classes planned for the coming months, we are anxious for the word to spread that there is always something new happening at the Arts Center. Everything in our first year is new! So many options!”

“This month is especially busy featuring the holiday theme of the month. Culinary art classes have proven very popular with monthly workshops. Spooky Desserts on Oct. 27 will teach students ages 7 to adult how to decorate Halloween cookies, cupcakes and candies. Halloween Arts and Crafts on the same day for ages 5-14 will help children conjure up Halloween crafts such as spooky ghosts, decorated pumpkins, and painted masks. Different Ways to Draw for ages 12-adult that same Oct. 27 afternoon will invite students to find unconventional ways to expressing their creativity, from still life drawings, energy drawings, and paint splatters, to drawing with your feet,” she added.

“We have received a mammoth donation of yarn just waiting for our knit/crochet classes to use, and with the holidays quickly approaching, our jewelry and guided painting classes will offer students the skills to create original handmade gifts of art. And a writing club for kids just sounds like such a great idea for those quiet kids who really love books and all things connected to the written word. Such a great variety of class topics and themes should cast a wide net for students of all ages and we sincerely hope everyone will try out at least one class,” Fox continued.
