Randy Farnsworth joined Burritt Motors recently as a sales consultant, it was announced by Chris Burritt, owner.
“We’re delighted to add Randy to our Burritt Motors family,” said Rich Burritt, vice president and sales manager. “Randy has been one of the most productive and successful members of our sales team in the short time he has been with us.”
“I enjoy building longstanding relationships with my customers,” Farnsworth said. “ I work hard to ensure that they have the most positive and satisfying experience possible.”
Farnsworth and his wife Riesa, account billing manager at Burritt Motors, live in Oswego with their children Brooke, 16, and Lauren, 19. Farnsworth has had eight years of automotive sales and management experience in the Oswego County area, and owns Celebrations DJ Service.
He also holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Onondaga Community College.
Burritt Motors’ history dates back to 1955 in Hannibal when Chris’ grandfather, Elmer O. Burritt, purchased a Chevrolet franchise that he operated until 1963.
To expand in a larger market, Chris’ father, Richard, purchased the assets of a Chevrolet dealership that had been located on Oswego’s East Third Street. About a year later, he built the present dealership on Route 104, which underwent a $2.5 million expansion and renovation last year.
In September, Burritt Motors set a single month sales record of more than 200 vehicles.
The dealership celebrates its 59th anniversary this year and can be reached at (315) 343-8948, www.burrittmotors.com or www.themechanixgarage.com.
