First Graders Host Reader’s Theater at Volney Elementary

Eight talented first grade students stared in a Reader’s Theater production during a recent character education assembly held at Volney Elementary School.

The students presented “Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type” by Doreen Cronin.

The book tells the story of Farmer Brown’s cows, who find an old typewriter in the barn and proceed to write letters to the farmer, listing demands.

The audience laughed along with the story and the program (made up of the school’s top first grade readers) provided a perfect opportunity to showcase the actors’ excellent reading and performance abilities.
