OSWEGO, NY – Students at Fitzhugh Park Elementary lined up for ice cream and special toppings recently for their Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Ice Cream Social.

PBIS is a district-wide approach to teaching, modeling, recognizing and encouraging positive behaviors in a school setting, while providing a framework and social system that supports success outside the school, as well.
“The ice cream social was the perfect way to finish out the school year and recognize the Fitzhugh Park students for their positive behaviors,” said Katie O’Leary, who helped coordinate the event.
