Helen Hoefer, director of Catholic Charities’ Emergency Services Program, said anyone could take advantage of the Food Sense program, as there are no restrictions and no income guidelines.

“As food prices continue to rise we are thrilled to be able to make the Food Sense program available here at Catholic Charities. It’s a wonderful program that offers a wide range of delicious and nutritious food at a very affordable price. These monthly packages represent a savings of approximately 50% off grocery store prices. I am happy that we able to help families and individuals in our community eat better for less and I encourage people to take advantage of this very beneficial program. For our consumers convenience the Food Sense program accepts food stamps and EBT cards,” said Hoefer.
