OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Office for the Aging (OFA) visited city of Oswego resident and OFA client Frances Enwright to help her celebrate her 100th birthday in June.

Enwright grew up in a house across from Fort Ontario and became friends with refugees staying at the Fort Ontario Emergency Refugee Shelter. She remains in contact with the child of one of the refugees.

Enwright has served as a volunteer for various organizations, including the American Red Cross and the Safe Haven Holocaust Refugee Shelter Museum. She recently moved to the St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Facility, where she remains social and enjoys daily activities with other residents.

OFA staff brought her birthday treats and a card to mark the occasion. Pictured from left are OFA Director Sara Sunday; Enwright; and Case Manager for Senior Home Care Melissa Polczak.
