OSWEGO — The Salvation Army of Oswego is proud to announce that the Fraternal Order of Police will provide the next Guest Chef Dinner on Tuesday, September 08, 2026, marking the 112th Guest Chef Dinner since the program began in 2007. This year’s dinners are especially meaningful as The Salvation Army celebrates 140 years of service to the Oswego community and county.
Dinner will be Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Corn, Salad, Dinner Roll & Butter. Desserts and beverages will be provided by members of the Advisory Board. The cost per meal will be $15. Additionally, discounted meal tickets will not be offered during the 2026 season.
The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is the world’s largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with over 356,000 members in more than 2,100 lodges. They are committed to improving the working conditions of officers and the safety of those they serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, employee representation. Police officers’ family members may join the FOP Auxiliary and persons wanting to support law enforcement may join the FOP Associates.
Doors open at 4:15 p.m., and dinner will be served from 4:30 until 6:00 p.m., or until sold out. Guests may choose to dine in at The Salvation Army dining room or take meals to go. All Guest Chef Dinners are hosted at The Salvation Army of Oswego, 73 West 2nd Street, Oswego, NY 13126.
The Guest Chef Dinners are organized by the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army of Oswego and are offered to the community to raise critical funds that support local services, including the weekly Community Lunch, Food Pantry, and Youth Enrichment Services, among others.
Since the program’s inception, the impact has been significant. The Salvation Army of Oswego has hosted 111 Guest Chef Dinners, served over 10,000 meals, and raised over $125,000 to support vital programs serving Oswego County.
As The Salvation Army reflects on 140 years of service, the 2026 Guest Chef Dinner Series stands as both a celebration of the past and a continued investment in the future of the Oswego community.
