Free Summer Youth Recreation Program at Camp Zerbe

WILLIAMSTOWN – The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau is opening a new summer youth recreation program for kids in grades kindergarten through fourth grade this summer at the Oswego County Nature Park at Camp Zerbe in Williamstown.

Registration will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Thursday, July, 3 at the Camp Zerbe park, 253 State Route 104, Williamstown.

Program directors will be on site to take registrations, answer questions and show the participants what kind of activities they will be doing throughout the summer.

The camp will run Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from July 7 to Aug. 15.  Lunch will be provided to registered program participants.

Pre-registration is required. Spots will be awarded on a first come-first serve basis.

“A waiting list will be created to ensure that as many children as possible have a chance to attend the program,” said Brandon Morey, coordinator of recreation and youth development for the Oswego City – County Youth Bureau.

Camp Zerbe is owned by Oswego County and operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau as a day use nature park and recreation facility. The Camp Zerbe recreation program is licensed through the Oswego County Department of Health.

The facility is available to rent between late April and October for use by families, clubs, school groups and other organizations.
