Fresh Food Distribution Set

FULTON, NY – On Feb. 10, the Emergency Services Program of Catholic Charities of Oswego County, in cooperation with the Food Bank of Central New York, will sponsor a fresh food distribution.

Fresh foods and produce will be available, free of charge to those in need, from 4 until 6 p.m. or until food is gone.

Please bring your own bags or boxes.

Distribution will be at the Elks Lodge, 57 Pierce Drive.

Catholic Charities is now using a new system, supported by the Food Bank of CNY, which allows for an easier method of food distribution.

Those in attendance will receive a number from a random drawing that will take place approximately 20 minutes prior to the beginning of the food distribution.

The number will determine that person’s place in line and alleviate the need for people to come to the food distribution hours in advance to be among the first in line.

The new system allows for a much more equitable distribution of the food on hand so that those who are unable to wait for hours will still have an equal opportunity to receive food.

Catholic Charities’ client choice food pantry will close at noon on Feb. 10 in preparation for the food distribution.

The food pantry will re-open at its regular hours on Feb. 11.

Regular hours for Catholic Charities’ client choice food pantry are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday, 1:30 to 6 p.m.

The Thrift Shop is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
