OSWEGO – The SUNY Oswego Lakers Men’s Hockey Team and Coach Ed Gosek were honored for their service to Hotcakes For Hospice since 2018 at this year’s event, Oct. 20, it was announced by Elena Twiss, Friends of Hospice in Oswego County (FOHOC) executive director. “We are so grateful to Coach Gosek and the many players who have helped us at this event by serving at the buffet, clearing tables, and flagging down traffic on Bridge Street to come join us, “ Twiss said. “They help bring patrons in for the breakfast and are the foundation for the event’s success.” Hotcakes event chair, FOHC board member and Treasurer Lee Maniccia, (right) presents Gosek with a plaque saluting the Lakers. Friends of Hospice in Oswego County is a volunteer organization that provides financial and non-medical support to individuals, caregivers, friends and families during the end-of-life journey and supports them following their loss.
