FULTON – The Fulton Block Builders have released the following statement in regards to filling out the 2020 Census.
“Come on Fulton, you have never let me down before, let’s ROCK this Census. Spread the word,” said Linda Eagan Fulton Block Builder Director. “In 2010, Fulton had an 83% participation rate – we can beat that in 2020! Right now, 59.8% of Fulton residents have made the time to fill out the census forms.”
“For the first time ever, residents can now respond to the census questionnaire online. If you have misplaced the form that was mailed to you or if you haven’t received one, you can still participate by going to https://my2020census.gov/and select the link that says: If you do not have a Census ID, click here.”
According to the 2020 US Census website, an accurate count is important because federal funds, grants and support for States, Counties and Communities are based on population totals derived from the U.S. Census. Answering the Census helps make sure our region gets its fair share of federal help for schools, hospitals, roads, public works and other vital programs and services. Plus, such information is crucial to the re-drawing of Congressional, State and Local Legislative boundaries for the next decade. And, businesses use census data when they’re deciding where to build their factories, offices and stores. Filling out the 2020 Census form online is quick, confidential, and safe.
“Please help Fulton receive all the Federal funds it is due by not only filling out your forms but also encouraging your friends and neighbors to do so. WE CAN DO THIS, FULTON!”
